Employment, internships, and specialist consultation
NTRLNK / 07
The current position briefs cover supervised entry into Oregon investigations, specialist maritime consultation, and the operational administration of confidential client engagements.
Read the complete role before applying. Availability, licensing, qualifications, compensation, and application requirements are stated in the individual briefs below.
Supervised, practical Oregon investigative experience supporting progression from a Provisional Private Investigator Licence toward full licensure.
NTRLNK is opening four internship positions for individuals seeking to begin a professional path as private investigators in Oregon. Interns assist with active cases as required and develop familiarity with research methods, documentation, legal obligations, and professional investigative standards.
Applicants must meet Oregon DPSST eligibility standards for the Provisional Private Investigator Licence. Licensing costs and state fees are the intern's responsibility. NTRLNK provides supervision, guidance, and the professional structure required for progression toward full investigator status. The internship itself is unpaid; suitable auxiliary paid assignments, when available, are compensated at the standard auxiliary-investigator rate.
Specialist analysis, defensible reporting, and testimony concerning vessel operations, maritime activity, and related civil or criminal inquiries.
NTRLNK seeks an experienced maritime professional with demonstrable competence in maritime intelligence, vessel tracking, port operations, and related investigative issues—and the ability to present findings clearly in a form suitable for legal proceedings.
B.S. or M.S. in Maritime Studies, Maritime Security, Maritime Affairs, Marine Transportation, Nautical Science, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Oceanography, or a related field. A J.D. or LL.M. focused on Admiralty or Maritime Law is highly valued for legal analysis.
U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential—particularly Master, Mate, Able Seaman, or OUPV—and STCW certifications. U.S. Navy or Coast Guard navigation, operations, intelligence, marine-safety, inspection, or investigative experience is also relevant.
Certified Marine Investigator or related marine-surveying, accident-investigation, Port State Control, or maritime-security credentials; demonstrated OSINT and maritime-data analysis competence.
ISM Code Auditor training, ISO 9001/14001 maritime-sector auditor qualifications, and familiarity with OSHA Maritime Safety standards under 29 CFR Parts 1917 and 1918.
Candidates must be capable of producing written expert reports, supporting litigation, and providing testimony when required. Court declarations, expert reports, depositions, and testimony are billed at established expert-witness rates.
Precise, discreet administration of client billing, contracts, retainers, and engagement coordination within an executive-led professional practice.
This senior administrative position supports the firm's executive leadership by keeping engagements properly documented, billed, and administered while preserving clear boundaries between administrative functions and executive-led client communications.
This position does not provide investigative direction, legal advice, or executive messaging. Strategic communication, investigative conclusions, and client-facing representations remain under executive leadership.
Experience supporting executive-led firms or boutique professional practices; legal, investigative, consulting, or regulated environments; invoicing systems, trust accounting, or compliance-driven workflows.
NTRLNK designates two positions for this administrative function to support operational continuity and workload separation. This listing is for one of those positions; the second is filled. Benefits and additional terms are discussed during selection.
