James Odd is an investigator, digital-forensics examiner, expert witness, and Certified Fraud Examiner. Licensed as a private investigator since 2011, he leads NTRLNK's investigative, forensic, and analytical engagements.
During more than fifteen years of federal service, Dr. Odd served as Lead Forensic Examiner for the U.S. Forest Service, Law Enforcement & Investigations, and performed investigative and forensic work supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Offices of Inspector General and General Counsel.
He subsequently directed a nationwide digital-forensics and investigations programme responsible for approximately 120 criminal, civil, administrative, counter-fraud, and internal matters each year. He oversaw forensic operations, evidence handling, investigative strategy, examiner coordination, technical review, and the presentation of findings in consequential and contested matters.

His federal work frequently required coordination with law-enforcement agencies, agency counsel, inspectors general, technical specialists, and investigators operating across multiple jurisdictions. Findings had to be both technically supportable and clear enough for legal and executive use.
